The RLDF Opposed EPA Regulations

The RLDF’s Opposed New EPA Regulations That Limited Emissions Of New Power Facilities. According to a web post from the Rule of Law Defense Fund, “On May 9, sixteen Republican Attorneys General fought back against the EPA’s proposed rule to restrict the emissions of new power facilities under Section 111 of the Clean Air Act and, thereby, reducing the diversity of potential power sources. Authored by Republican Attorneys General Patrick Morrisey (WV) and Jon Bruning (NE), the letter asserts, ‘States have a unique role in facilitating and ensuring affordable and reliable electric service while encouraging robust economic policy and responsible environmental protection. The RLDF Posted A Letter From Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt In Opposition To The EPA Investigating Fracking’s Impact On Water Sources. The RLDF Was Opposed To The Dodd-Frank Act. According to a web post from the Rule of Law Defense Fund, “Eleven Republican Attorneys General joined State National Bank of Big Spring against Secretary of Treasury Jack Lew challenging the Orderly Liquidation Authority under Title II of the Dodd-Frank Act. The secretive process by which federal regulators pick winners and losers in liquidation proceedings threatens the solvency of state pension and other funds which invest in bonds issued by large financial institutions. The RLDF Participated In A Financial Services & Capital Markets Roundtable, Hosted By The Republican Attorney General Association, On The Implications Of Dodd-Frank And The CFPB, Federal Oversight, Operation Choke Point.
