Responsible for implementing the agency's visual-first multimedia strategy and driving the digital transformation of the company. Built AFP's leading position in the battle against misinformation. On advisory boards of First Draft News, Reporters Without Borders, Global Editors Forum and the NewsXchange.

Responsible for all day-to-day editorial operations of the news agency and a leading voice in the creation of AFP's editorial strategy. Led a change of culture to put image production at the center of AFP's production and newsgathering process. Helped build video production from start-up culture to disruptive industry force. AFP won many top industry prizes including Pulitzer and World Press Photo under stewardship.

Responsible for running all editorial operations in 30 bureaus from the South Pacific to Afghanistan. Set up AFP's first fully integrated multimedia newsroom in Hong Kong. Built AFP's video service from scratch starting with a single stringer in Bangkok. Ran major stories across the region including China's economic transformation, the chaos in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and the Japanese nuclear crisis. Planned and anchored news coverage of Olympic Games in Beijing.

Ran day-to-day coverage of major general, business and sporting news from across the Asia-Pacific region. Planned and anchored coverage of major summits such as APEC, World Trade Organisation and ASEAN.

Edited top world stories. Special three-month reporting assignment to New York in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Ran coverage of China's emergence and economic rise including its accession to the World Trade Organisaton and its growing rivalry with the United States. Also shaped coverage of North Korea and reported from the isolated country.
