I am in my 13th year of education, and beginning my 4th year in North East ISD. My experience ranges from teaching middle school choir in the Rio Grande Valley to teaching all levels of high school English in Austin and San Antonio.

I recently transferred to teaching English from the central office Curriculum and Instruction department after 2 years. While I loved working with teachers across the district, I couldn't wait to return to the classroom full-time! I'm all about helping students discover their voices on their terms and welcome using their interests as literacies for our learning! My passion is helping students find who they are as readers and writers by giving them space to express themselves and their ideas.
